What to Expect During Treatment

The Valeda Light Therapy System is designed to be non-invasive, quick, and effective. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Advanced Eye Examination: We carry out a full eye examination including OCT imaging of your macular. This may not be necessary if you already have a current prescription from anther opticians
  • Initial Visual Assessment: Your journey begins with a comprehensive clinical assessment to confirm your suitability for Valeda Light Therapy. We will recommend between one and three treatments annually depending upon our clinical findings and your family history This ensures the treatment is both safe, effective and appropriate for your condition.
  • The Treatment Process: Each session lasts no more than 20 minutes and involves no eye drops or dilation . You simply sit comfortably while the system delivers precise wavelengths of light to your retina.
  • Convenient Scheduling: The recommended treatment cycle involves nine sessions over 3 weeks, allowing for flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle. It’s recommended that treatment cycles are repeated every 4-6 months.

Just took my reluctant husband to Chapmans. Had not been to an optician for some time as he said his eyes were ok. Excellent service is given. Everything was explained clearly and with extreme patience. Would recommend it without hesitation. Worth a visit even if you think your sight is good.
